Make: what it is and who it's for
Make (make.com) is a no-code tool for connecting apps into automated workflows, called scenarios, that you build on a visual canvas.
Who it's for
People who want to automate work between apps (forms to sheets, email to CRM, AI steps in the middle) without writing code. It sits between simple tools like Zapier and code-first tools like n8n.
Good for: multi-step automations you'd rather draw than code. Not ideal for: teams that want to self-host, or very high-volume flows where credits add up.

Pros
Based on Make's own website and pricing pages (vendor claims, not tested by us).
- Visual canvas makes multi-step logic, routers and filters easy to follow
- 3,500+ app integrations, plus AI agents and an AI toolkit
- Permanent free plan to learn on
- Generally cheaper per action than Zapier on Make's own comparison
Cons
- Credits are consumed per action, so busy or looping scenarios can get expensive
- Free plan limits active scenarios and runs at most every 15 minutes
- Cloud only; no self-hosting option like n8n
- Learning curve is steeper than one-step trigger/action tools
