AI bots that replace Gmail filters
AI email agents that read each message, label it by meaning instead of fixed rules, draft replies and alert you on urgent mail. Each recipe links to its public source, with an honest reliability rating.
When to keep Gmail filters
Keep plain Gmail filters for simple, predictable rules (a sender, a subject word, a mailing list). They are free, instant and never misread an email. AI triage costs API usage, can mislabel mail, and sends email content to an AI provider, so most recipes here keep drafts for your review instead of sending.
- Inbox labeler with Sheets log & dry-run mode is not for: Anyone happy with simple filters. Main drawback: Paid template.
- Inbox triage agent with Make AI Agents is not for: High-volume support desks (use a helpdesk). Main drawback: Free plan: 2 active scenarios, 15-min minimum interval.
- Multi-agent inbox triage & auto-reply is not for: Sensitive/regulated email. Main drawback: Auto-sending risks wrong replies.
